Classes Description

Basic Handgun Qualification License -$160.00 

4 hours of instructional course work. Which includes Maryland State firearms law, home firearm safety, handguns mechanism and operation. Students will demonstrate their ability to safely fire a handgun at the range.

• Assistance with creating Maryland State Police user profile account
• Eyes and ear protection
• Range handgun rental 
• 50 Round of ammunition at range
• (2) Range Targets 
• Certificate provided upon completion.

Not included:

Concealed Carry Wear Permit - $300.00

Standards: Concealed Carry and Wear (CCW) Permit- Applicants must demonstrate and meet all Maryland State Police requirements to obtain a CCW Permit. Completion of this course do not guarantee that you will be approved for a Concealed Carry and Wear Permit. The approval process is conducted by Maryland State Police.

Course Length: 16 hours (2 days) of instruction for an original application and 8 hours (1 day) of instruction for a renewal application. 

Course Topics: Instruction on state firearm law, home firearm safety, handgun mechanisms and operation, and a component that requires the applicant to demonstrate gun safety and proficiency with a minimum score of 70% accuracy.

Marksmanship Requirement: Designated security personnel (security guards, private detectives, special police, and armored car drivers/guards) must shoot a practical police course of at least 50 rounds, from no further than 25 yards and score at least 70% accuracy.

All other applicants must shoot a course of at least 25 rounds, from no further than 15 yards and score at least 70% accuracy.

 Concealed Carry and Wear Training (RENEWAL) $220.00

8 hours of firearms instruction- This course satisfies the required 8 hours of training to apply for the Maryland Carry and Wear Permit RENEWAL. Shooting qualifications is included. Proficiency with a minimum score of 70% accuracy required!
